We meet each Thursday night and the last Saturday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at Ziggies Lounge at the Quality Inn & Suites in Santee, S.C.

The DJ Corner: By Furman Dominick
The OASC moved to Ziggy’s in Jan. and changed the meeting night to Thurs. night except Sat. night the last Sat. of the month. Thanks for all that have been coming out for the attendance has been very good and a lot fun had by all. The Quality Inn has been sold and the new owners tells me everything will stay the same except for some lower food and drink prices. We are lucky they do have good food. Thanks to the Kitty and her staff for all they did for the OASC and they will be missed.
To our new members I would like to welcome you from the DJ Corner. Remember it is about having fun not how good you dance so I hope to see you on the dance floor. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to play for the OASC on shag night.
I went to SOS in OD and there was large crowd and all was dancing and having fun. There are a few new songs out there that are very good. I want to thank all the bands and artist who provide us with the great music we have to dance to. It seems like the 1950’s blues music is making a strong comeback in the shag world. It was the first time that all the clubs were smoke free due to the new law just passed and you sure could breath better.
Shaggin on the Santee will be July 27 to the 29 at the Quality Inn. DJ’s will be Jeff Foster, Jim Bowers, Murl, and The Furm. Get your tickets early for this party always sells out. Only 200 tickets sold. Come on Thurs. night and enjoy the pre-party and enjoy the music by the pool Friday.
Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoy the music as much as I enjoy playing it. I am looking forward to playing the tunes for all to dance to and have a good time. If you are in the Sumter area on Tues. night, please stop by Legacies for Sumter Shag Club shag night. Summerville, Charleston Shag Clubs, and Columbia Shag Clubs would love to have you stop in if you are in the area.
